December-born's gemstone - Lapis Lazuli or Turquoise

You learned the interesting born-month-gemstone in my another blog, now, there is a chance to show you what in the world the real month gemstone looks like. If you are born in December, then your have two options for your born month gemstone: lapis lazuli, or turquoise.
In the top picture it is a lapis lazuli necklace. Lapis lazuli is a relatively rare semi-precious gemstone that have been prized for its intense blue color. Lapis is the Latin word for "stone" and lazuli is taken from the Persian word meaning "heaven" or "sky", because the sky is blue. So it is the "stone of heaven" or "sky stone".
Historically lapis lazuli is believed to have healing and consoling function for both physical and spiritual, wearing which would relieves anxiety and insomnia and can enforce the immune system, cure sore throats and headaches. It is also considered a powerful stone to inspire the wearer pursuing goals and adjust minds confliction to be harmony.
In the bottom picture it is a turquoise ring. Turquoise is an opaque, blue-to-green mineral. It is rare and valuable in finer grades and has been prized as a gem and ornamental stone for thousands of years because of its unique color.
Turquoise is believed can endow the wearer wisdom, strength, protection from harm, emotion sensitivity, connection to soul. Another important magic force of the turquoise is that it helps the wearer understanding oneself better, fulfill self-realization.
