Band of ring - You decide and customarize

When we usually pay most of our attention to the shiny, beautiful, and gorgeous gemstones on a ring, don't ignore the band: the eyes-catching gemstones are for others to look, while the band is for you the real wearer to feel. So make sure it is comfortable, meaningful, and durable.

Just like only the person putting on and walking a pair of shoes knows how fit or unfit of the shoes, only the ring's wearer, you, knows how comfortable or uncomfortable of the ring. If your hands are small, a narrow band looks better and wears easily. Larger hands with longer fingers can wear wider band, on which allows more elaborating. To get a perfectly-fit band, it is a good idea to tell the supplier your finger's perimeter, on which one you will wear a ring. You can get the number in a jewelry store with their help.

You can ask to engrave into a band some meaningful characters, initials, words, or sentence, which usually is a message that is a sentiment known only to you and your loved. Engraving is more often seen on the inner side of band, leaving outside of it plain. Before finalizing your purchase, ask the supplier how many letters may be engraved so that you can tell them the content in the limitation.

You should pay attention to choose the material from which the band is made. Now there are many material choices in the market including some high-technology material, make sure your choose the right one. If you are going to wear the engagement ring and the wedding ring together, the two should be better of the same material and color, as well as matching nice. 

Wearing the engagement ring

The engagement ring is usually proposed to the bride-to-be by her boyfriend, to make sure the intention that you both will agree and be ready to marry. From the beginning of the engagement until the wedding, to the loved couple, called boyfriend and girlfriend by the other before, the calling will be upgraded to fiance to the man, and fiancee to the woman.

The engagement ring is not a must-to-be to certify engagement. Somebody believe engagement ring is as same necessary as wedding ring, but the fact may be not. Usually wedding ring is required in wedding ceremony, while engagement ring is only an expression of an uprated relationship between two persons. So some practical couples would prefer to use the money that would be spent on a ring towards whatever is more important to their common future.
A bride can wear her engagement ring as soon as she receives it -- unless she or the groom-to-be is still married to someone else and awaiting a divorce. The bride wears the ring on the fourth finger (next to the little finger) of her left hand.
It is believed that left hand represents the lucky bestowed from God, and left hand is connected to your heart. So it makes sense wearing the marriage rings, say, engagement and wedding rings in left hand. In the other side, unmarried ladies wear no rings, or wear rings in the middle finger or the fourth finger of right hand, so not confuse and impede their potential pursuits.
There existed some custom meanings to which finger a lady wears a ring on:

• Index finger, the second finger -- Want to get marry, still single;
• Middle finger, the third finger -- In love;
• The fourth finger -- Engaged or Married;
• Little finger -- I am single.

How long should be the engagement?

An engagement is a promise to marry engaged by two persons, usually a man and a woman, and also the period of time between proposal and marriage. How long should be the engagement? it depends. 

The engagement represents a time of happy, cheer, fun, memory, and also overwhelmingly paying attention to various details. Someone enjoy the process, while others may feel sort of headache.
